Event #16 - Strategic Leadership

Learning & Development Professionals Forum #16

Tuesday, 27th March, 2012

UTS invites you to a forum on strategic leadership led by Dr Robin Stonecash.

Entitled "What can happen when a CEO listens" Robin tells the story of the then new Fuji Xerox CEO, who admitted he needed help to acquire new skills to enable him to lead the company effectively. His realisation and journey is a powerful lesson in what impact an L&D professional can have on an organisation.

Often, CEO's and leaders don't appreciate what skills they - and their teams - really need to be effective. This session will help explore this area and highlight how L&D professionals communicate the power and impact of education.

What do you need to know about Dr Robin Stonecash and UTS?

Dr Robin Stonecash is the Director of Executive Projects within the Executive Development unit at UTS and has been program director on leadership development programs for the premium programs of the former Australian Graduate School of Management at the UNSW as well as for some of Australia’s leading companies. In this capacity, she put together teams of leading academics and practitioners to develop senior managers.Robin’s expertise is in diagnosing the strategic needs of organisations and assisting them in determining the best leadership development plan, calling on her extensive network of presenters, academics and business and community leaders to ensure a highly productive and enriching experience.

She has also facilitated strategy development workshops for several leading organisations, using both internal and external speakers to ensure a relevant, real experience for participants.

Apart from being a leader, one needs to expand learning and develop the qualities that have been recognized. Your post is very helpful.
